You can buy the First Years miPump in two different versions, a single version or the double version which most women seem to opt for. You'll get away with saving some money by buying this First Years miPump vs models from companies such as Phillips Avent, Medela or Lansinoh but there is a substantial difference between this and those other models of breast pumps in my humble opinion.

This is not to downplay this breast pump, but based on our own review and reviews of others that we have gone thru, there are better breast pumps out there for sale.The good news. A simple to use, simple to operate good pump that is easily affordable by everyone in the market for a breast pump. Simple to put together for use, with only a few parts. Can be powered up either with electricity from the wall or with batteries which makes it pretty portable.

The units shield is a soft flexible type which is comfortable and fits well for most women. Mothers can choose from the simple push of a button 8 different suction speeds or levels so that finding the ideal level for you should be a fairly easy task. The unit is also fairly quiet, although every model of pumps will make a certain amount of noise. You can connect directly into breast flow bottles which makes for easy storage and easy cleanup.It also comes with a cute tote carrying bag so that you can take it with you anywhere.

The biggest concern that we came across is that the The First Years pump motor is not strong enough or efficient enough for a breast pump to do a great job and empty the breasts. In addition, a number of Moms found that this pump was irritating to their breasts as well.

The fact that this breast pump is very affordable, that is the best thing about it. We live in tough economic times and due to the cost factor this may be the best choice for many. If money is not an issue, then I would strongly suggest that you take a look at the alternatives from the other manufacturers like Lansinoh, Medela or Phillips Avent.
